Let me just say it has been HOT here. Two days of record-breaking heat of 98 degrees. Whew!
As Lola and I were doing a craft in the kitchen, Bella was in the living room reading. I would peek my head around the corner and check on her every few minutes, and the last time came across this -

Bella is in that in-between stage of needing an afternoon nap & not needing one. So, on this hot day (even with the a/c on) in a hot dress, her exciting reading just wasn't enough to keep her up. I completely remember Lola doing this to at about the same age. So I looked back through my files and found this -
This was back in May of 2007, just about a month before she turned three.
So now we are all having a cold popsicle and keeping cool so we can stay awake until bedtime.
Easter is just around the corner and Bella and Lola are so excited. Actually, they are just ecstatic about this coming weekend - Friday Murry & Pepa (my mom and step-dad) are coming from Texas to visit, Saturday is Bella's third birthday (aaahhh - I can't believe my baby is going to be three!), and then Sunday is Easter. It's going to be a packed-full weekend, but it's going to be great.
The girls and I made these cute bunny place cards for Sunday. We had fun doing them, and the girls had fun playing make-believe with them afterward. I did not make these from scratch, we used a kit for them, but we were one shy. The pink-eye one was made with all our leftover paper, so of course it was their favorite - they loved the different color ears and eyes.
