just like big sis

Let me just say it has been HOT here. Two days of record-breaking heat of 98 degrees. Whew!

As Lola and I were doing a craft in the kitchen, Bella was in the living room reading. I would peek my head around the corner and check on her every few minutes, and the last time came across this -

Bella is in that in-between stage of needing an afternoon nap & not needing one.
So, on this hot day (even with the a/c on) in a hot dress, her exciting reading just wasn't enough to keep her up. I completely remember Lola doing this to at about the same age. So I looked back through my files and found this -

This was back in May of 2007, just about a month before she turned three.

So now we are all having a cold popsicle and keeping cool so we can stay awake until bedtime.

lots and lots...and lots of pictures

Ok, I couldn't decide on just a couple pictures, so this will be the post of little words and lots of pictures.
Happy 3rd birthday, Bella!

Yum, cupcakes!

According to Bella, best-slide-ever!

Second most-favorite thing to do at the park - sand angels

Fun with the pinata
(at least fun for the adults to watch - the kids weren't exactly sure what to do once the loot fell out!)

My shutter didn't open fully for this picture, but I thought the effect was neat since you can just see Bella jumping on top of the pinata

Only picture I got of cousin Munchi that wasn't blurry - please tell me Aunt K that you got some better ones!

Lola and Colden each waiting patiently for their turn

A story and a snuggle from M - just what they needed after a long day

Lola looking pretty Easter morning

One of the few pictures of Bella in her Easter dress - I would have loved to get a picture of the two girls together, but Bella had no interest in stopping to smile for a picture.

they're multiplying!

Easter is just around the corner and Bella and Lola are so excited. Actually, they are just ecstatic about this coming weekend - Friday Murry & Pepa (my mom and step-dad) are coming from Texas to visit, Saturday is Bella's third birthday (aaahhh - I can't believe my baby is going to be three!), and then Sunday is Easter. It's going to be a packed-full weekend, but it's going to be great.

The girls and I made these cute bunny place cards for Sunday. We had fun doing them, and the girls had fun playing make-believe with them afterward. I did not make these from scratch, we used a kit for them, but we were one shy. The pink-eye one was made with all our leftover paper, so of course it was their favorite - they loved the different color ears and eyes.
